I hope you all saw Dr. James Kroll's report on http://www.deerchannel.com on NAW Television a few weeks back.

Since that segment aired, the folks who run this awesome Web site have dropped the subscription fee, making it really affordable for everyone. Meanwhile, they've added a number of cool features that weren't on the site a few weeks ago. They've literally created a TV network showing the most amazing deer footage ever captured, and it's now running live 24/7.

The unique deer-mounted camera systems these guys are using have opened the door to documenting behaviors never before witnessed, and the footage should only become more fascinating as the rut kicks in. So if you haven't been on the site in the last few days, be sure to check it out.

I've watched a few of the preview clips and they are really neat.

I watched a few of the preview clips a couple of weeks ago and found it very interesting but not sure if I would pay to watch. I believe it could help with deer behavior and research.

I saw the free clips and liked it, but I can't justify spending the money.

What can you tell me about that HUGE shed that Stan Potts pulls out at the very end of Episode 5? That was the episode where you went to the Grigsby in Illinois looking for sheds. What does it score and what state did he find it in?

Re: NAW partners with DeerChannel.com "Giant Whitetails"

Ever heard of the "knife handle" buck from Iowa? The "shed" Stan was holding was actually a replica of that giant's left antler. The deer probably would have scored well over 200 net typical, but as the story goes, the guy who found both sides cut the other side into knife handles. We'll never know if that deer was a world record, but from the looks of that single side, you'll have to think he was a serious contender.

I am here to tell you that our family is a finatic for great Whitetail bucks and we sure appreciate the shows that you bring to us !! Dr.Deer segment is one of a kind along with Mr.Potts and crew . Very excited about upcoming shows in 2009 . I have a set of shed that would be great for the Big Buck Profile segment. They are the largest set of sheds ever recorded in Nova Scotia and rank with the best in North America. Great job guy and gals !!!

Thanks for all the positive comments. Stan and I are working on new shows this week and really look forward to airing them. The 2009 episodes will start in July and will be on several networks; we'll have details shortly. We won't be back on Outdoor Channel, but there will be more times and places to see us than ever.

re: G Whittington

This is the first time I have been disappointed in NAW TV! I have seen every episode since your very first one but now your show isn't on The Outdoor Channel and we don't get the Sportsmen Channel here in Huntsville AL under our cable company. I miss the Sunday evening shows on an avaliable channel. I hope we can at least catch re-runs somewhere down the line

re: G Whittington

Our show actually is now available to more viewers in more parts of North America than it previously was. July through December we're not only on Sportsman Channel but also on a couple of the Fox Sports regional channels, as well as Pursuit Channel and Wild TV in Canada. So we hope you guys who want to follow NAW TV can find us without any problem. And by next summer, we'll be in even more homes for the 2010 show season.
