Ok guys I just have to say something. First let me say that I have really enjoyed the show and magazine since day 1. In fact I still have the very first magazine that was on the news stand. Everyone on the TV show seems to be great folks.

My thought is that this years TV show is hurting a little. I can understand that the dynamics has somewhat changed with Greg Miller off the show but the real problem is the Dr Deer segments are really terrible in my opinion. Maybe it's just me but I don't think so. I've talk to a few friends and all are saying the same thing. It's a real stretch to say that we get anything out of that part of the show these days. I have no doubt that Dr. James Kroll is a very smart man but I see him give some lame piece from Canada anymore this season I'm going to start setting the DVR so I can fast forward through his piece.

Come on guys you can do better then this. I also think that with Greg out we are seeing less bowhunting. Maybe not a huge deal to many or maybe most viewers but some find it very boring watching the rifle hunts. Ok, maybe just the bowhunters have an issue with that and that alone would not make me watch something else but surely you guys can get more bowhunters on film without having to watch old footage of Greg.

Stan, who does not enjoy watching Stan get excited but Stan you need to pick up the bow a little more. Get the good Dr out of the snow and piles of hay or something that he is using for bait in Saskatewan and work on more technical/scientific whitetail information. The deer channel segment with him talking about the young deer running around to better prepare for predators was a real or should I say reel stretch.

The show needs something to excite the viewers, change the format do something or I fear it's demise. Mix things up, surprise us, do anything but the same old stuff. Maybe get some healthy debates with the Dr. and other biologist. Hunt somewhere besides the mid-west. Bring in guest to the desk, do something different and keep it fresh. Jazz it up, make it cool again....

I really don't like to complain but the show has so much potential with the talented folks on hand. I really want to look forward to watching the show again.
