re: msahli

found first signs of scrapes yesterday    found two different small ones about 75yds apart. seeing lots of does and small bucks then hit a dry spell were i wont see any for a couple days.  had a doe closing at 45yds and muzzleloader hunters blew it for me. he chased six deer right by me. its pointless to wrap your tree and identify where you are if people arent going to respect it.  that guy saw my orange and pushed through anyway.  cant wait for the big ones to come out to play

re: tszakelyhidio

Finally starting to see some movement from some shooters, got a trail cam pic of one last Wed. morning around 9, if only I didn't have to work for living. Watched a young 8 point chasing a group of does around this past Sat. morning, grunting and acting like one of the big boys. It won't be long now if this cold weather keeps up like it has been.

I have seen a lot of rubs and scapes here in southwestern PA in the last week and a half.

re: msahli

The chase is on!!!  I live in south central PA.  I was out last evening about 4pm, and didn't see a thing until 6:15, then I saw 17 deer between then and dark.  They were running all over the place, and the buck were chasing the doe all around.  To bad I had to go to work today, but I think I'll take off tomorrow.  I was not able to go out the evening before (Tuesday), but I drove out just before dark and saw a buck chasing a doe all over the field that night too.

re: msahli

Well rifle season is finally here first day on monday  my favorite day of the year. Good luck to all.  I really wish we could have snow on the ground but doesn't look like that is going to happen. Its going to be tough for me now because where i rifle hunt  i sit rate where 2 hollows meet its a nice place with all the laurel  and hunters on top its a nice place they like to run by to find the next laurel patch.  But anyways  I watch the moutain sides  the deer can be far out as 150 to 200  yards on the one hillside  and when there is an antler restrictions and no snow its going to be difficult to make sure it has 3 points on 1 side  and you know there going to be running most of the time. So I am hopeing I have an easy to tell shooter come running by down in the hollow.   No doe hunting allowed  till sat  for 2g. Emsad

Oh and no bear for me i sat in my rifle stand on mon seen 8 deer and tues seen 1 deer  and some elk. Go figure  I hate elk. they are stupid i could see them everyday if i wanted to and walk rate up to them and they wouldnt care.

Happy Thanksgiving
