Bucks running fawns off does, lots of scrapes & rubs starting to pop up despite warm temps. in Lanark County
a property of mine just west of Alliston, ON was all torn up with rubs and scrapes by Oct21. The area of Hockley Valley where i hunt didnt see any real sign until Oct29 and since then new scrapes seem to be popping up daily, bucks are starting to move, good luck!
The first controlled hunt "nov7-11" in WMU 77B was great. Bucks were chasing does all week long. We bagged a 18" 10 point and a tall 19 1/2" 8 point on nov7 & 8. Both bucks were shot between noon and 1pm hot on the trails of hot does. At this time of year it pays to sit on stands all day long!
